What Is TOEFL?

TOEFL (pronunced "toffle") or Test Of English As A Foreign Language is used to evalute an individual's grasp of Standard American English. It is the most widely-accepted test in the world, often used by colleges and universities, and also businesses and government agencies.

The TOEFL test is a registered trademark of ETS. Started in 1964, the TOEFL test has been taken by 20 million students worldwide.
